Oh wow I am so excited!
I was actually wondering if I would ever get an approval. The fact that I might get one less than a week after signing up was far from my thoughts.
I have to admit I squealed when I saw this in my email:
I have heard so many good things about this book, so I am extra excited about it.
*does happy dance*
Now I just need to figure out how to get it in my Kindle because it says the file is sent but it’s not working :(
I have issues with Netgalley’s protected files as well so fingers crossed it will work…
*does some more happy dance*
Have you read this book?
In your experience, does Edelweiss usually send protected files or also regular mobi versions?
Congrats on getting your first title approved!!!

Thanks, Yvo!
Unfortunately the file still won’t show up on my Amazon content :(
I sent an email, hopefully someone will be able to help me.

Yay Ana! Congratulations! I’ve never had a problem downloading Edelweiss eARCS to my Kindle, nervously knocking on wood

Thank you!
Unfortunately I still can’t view the file, let alone get it on my Kindle.
Let’s hope I will get a reply to my email by tomorrow.
knows on wood as well

I’m sorry to hear that Ana.😕 I’m sure they’ll be able to come up with something.

Congrats Ana! & no worries, just download the Bluefire app & it will take care of all the kinks in your arcs. Netgalley has Bluefire listed as an alternative to the Kindle/Nook/ios apps. I myself can’t read any of my arcs on these apps & instead use ol’ trustworthy Bluefire ;)

Hey there, thanks for the tip, but I don’t think I can get an app on my Kindle Paperwhite, right?

OooO! I’m not sure, sorry. I use the app on my iphone & ipad but it’s good to download from any phone.I doubt the Kindle would allow it but i’m not sure ;(

Congratulations, Ana. I’m sure they will come up with a fix – I hit a snag on trying to download Traitor to the Throne for some reason with Netgalley and they were brilliant at sorting it out. Hopefully, Edelweiss will be exactly the same…

Congratulations! I’ve given up on figuring out Edelweiss. I’ve only ever requested one (on the old site) but it’s just too difficult to find good reads and I’ve not returned since. I want to see books, not a list of 100 publishers. I hope you’ll get an answer soon!

Understandable, Inge. I do think this new version is more user friendly and I already had good news. I hope you will let me know if you end up giving it another try!

I’ll give it some more thought now, although I’m quite happy with Netgalley too. I get enough reads from there already :-)

Congratulations. I’ve been reviewing Edelweiss titles for a while now. I always get them to send it directly to my Kindle. You DO have to put them on your Approved Personal Document E-mail List (in your Amazon account) just like you do with NetGalley.
I’ve started up a Goodreads group for Edelweiss reviewers. See: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/174106-edelweiss-reviewers

Yep, everything went well once I did that, thanks.
Thanks for the tip, I asked to join the group.
