    • Hello there and thank you for your post! I agree, the performances seem great. I have to admit there are several here that I would like to watch more for the performances than the story itself.

  1. I want to watch a lot of these as well. I’ve seen The Handmaiden and I thought it was beautiful. I’ve never heard of Toni Erdman but the description sounds like Mrs Doubtfire 😂 Also is that a remake of The Ring???

    • I am really looking forward to The Handmaiden as I don’t think I have watched anything even remotely similar.

Toni Erdmann sounds like a lighthearted approach on some very difficult themes. I think it will be quite emotional, but we will see. I don’t think it will be quite like Mrs Doubtfire eheh. From what I have read it seems like the daughter provides a very grounded approach and I am sure both characters will take something from their journey.

I don’t think it is a remake, but I don’t really know! Could be… I have only watched the first movie and it was sooo many moons ago. I don’t remember much other than a girl in a well and that it scared the heck out of me. Watching the trailer I almost had second thoughts about seeing the movie because it totally freaked me out.

Thank you so much for your comment!

    • Sounds good. It’s been a while since I watched a movie like that but it will definitely be a ‘palate cleanser’ considering my other choices!

Oh I do plan to see all of them. They are supposed to premiere quite some time apart here in Portugal so it should be doable.
